One day on my road to purpose, I was asked one of the three most important questions of my life, the answer to which would end up birthing the collective body of thenu3buzz MEDIA GROUP --- thenu3GENERATION.
The more I thought about the answer to this question, the more I was reminded of one of the most inspiring definitions of Entrepreneurship that I had ever heard --- "the pursuit of opportunity without regard for resources currently controlled."
I was reminded how the teaching of a Harvard Business School Professor by the name of Howard Stevenson, made it clear that every time I want to make an important decision, there are always two possible courses of action. I can look at the array of choices that present themselves, pick the best available option, and try to make it fit. Or, I can do what the true entrepreneur does: Figure out the best conceivable option and then make it available.
I thought about the fact that if I was going to be successful in my role as a community-builer and my commitment to helping outreach organization maximize their reach "IN" and impact "ON" the communities that we live in, I would need the help of other Entrepreneurs and Community Leaders. I though about the fact that the problem I had to solve was not specific to getting them to help, but in getting them to help while pursuing the level of success that would otherwise dictate "the acceptable time to give back."
I thought about the fact that I would need to foster a new thinking about relationships, media, and the exercise of growing. A new thinking that would no more accept waiting on some other time or someone else to address the needs of our neighbors, than it would accept waiting on some other time or someone else to create our own success. A new thinking that would come to be known around the world as "thinking inside the box."
And so... as I role out my #startthinkinginsidethebox campaign, the question --- what problem(s) are you trying to solve? --- has given birth to buzz: the entreprenu3r, and conversely, the "doing business with a purpose" driving component of thenu3buzz MEDIA GROUP --- thenu3GENERATION --- which represents my commitment to community-philantrophy… thenu3WAY.
The mission of thenu3GENERATION is to build a community of inside the box thinking, purpose driven, world citizens, with a shared commitment to creating abundance for ourselves by creating abundance for others. A community that believes that we can change the world together, while having the greatest impact on profits, people, and the planet.
My pledge to thenu3GENERATION is a promise to support their efforts to grow their brands, businesses, and organizations, while we work together to leave the world in better shape than we found it.
