Meet Supermom Utopia Upshire and her little Superboy - Baby Q… whom i was blessed to have be a part of The Women’s History Stop on The b3GOOD TOUR. After the shoot, i asked Utopia why International Women’s History Month was important to her… and here is what she had to say.
When I think about Women's History Month, the word Legacy comes to mind.
When I was 5 months pregnant, my husband passed away suddenly. Immediately I was faced with the opportunity to fear or to have faith. Knowing that I was carrying our son, failure was not an option. I realized that I carried a promise, I carried purpose.
As a new mother, i am reminded every day of my responsibility to create and keep an environment that nourishes both of our physical and spiritual well-being. Remembering that I am a woman of many mothers, i pull on the knowledge, time, and love these women have poured into me.
